Hey everyone,
As promised, we have 2 Xbox 360 copies of Spec Ops: The Line to giveaway to (2) lucky winners. These are sealed Premium Editions that contain a code for online content. So how do you win? Well just answer the following question. QUESTION: If you were faced with the decision of saving yourself or saving someone else in some sort of life threatening crysis, what would you do and why? Only one of you WILL LIVE, the other WILL DIE. Interesting question huh? Well in Spec Ops: The Line you will have to make some decisions similar to this. Will you cross the line or stay honorable? Once you post your answer you are officially entered to win. We look forward to your answers. You must answer the question to be eligible. We are actually going to pick the best 2 answers that we read. GOOD LUCK. The contest will run until Sunday July 8th at Midnight PST. Edited by CrazyCougar - Jul 02 2012 at 9:58pm |

thats a tough question. I would really think about who would be losing me as a husband, father, brother, son, friend and how that would impact their lives. Its really tough to say I would stay honorable and lose my life to save another but part of me wants to say I would...maybe lol

I know for a fact that I would sacrifice myself to save a family member or close friend, 100% no question about it. If it was a stranger I guess the moment would dictate my decision. I would like to think I would make the right decision but could never say it for a fact until I was put in that situation (hope I never am). It would be almost impossible for me to live with the guilt of letting someone else die. Selfish on my part to just be thinking about the guilt, but man living with that regret would be a horrible thing. Shawshank Redemption has a quote in it, "It's a terrible thing to live in fear". I would be living with the fear of eternal damnation for the rest of my life. The more I think about it, the more I think I would have to sacrifice myself.

What a question...if there was a possible way for us both to survive I would take that in a heart beat! But we both can't! I thought of losing a family member or anyone close to me...I would radar give my life for theirs! But if it was a stranger I would have to think about it...maybe I will walk away?

I would want to say 100 percent i would save a family member and sacrifice my life,But truthfully i dont know if i could say that. The situation would dicatate that, and maybe the other person knew that u would both perish if u tried saving them, and than the kids and such, could possible lose both parents,Thats a difficult question and hopefully one we wont ever have to answer

I think a lot of it boils down to who I would possibly be sacrificing myself for, and what the situation at hand is. I would like to say that with 100% certainty that I would do it family member or not, but if and when I ever find myself in that situation, I can't say for sure that I would. I would hope that I would do the honorable thing and lay down my life for another, but again, I really can't be sure. Now if it were crazycougar at risk, probably not so I could get his game collection. Lol, just kidding bro.

I would have to choose to save myself. If the other person is not a loved one or off spring, its rather difficult to instinctively throw away your life. Seeing as I would be on a mission and have to make tough decisions in Spec Ops, the mission would have to take priority above all else and sacrifices made, just not my life lol.

At first it would be save my own a$$. On second thought it would be save my own a$$. That would go on for awhile and hopefully the other person would die and I would not have to make a decision.
But it would really be dictated by the situation and the individual. Life is too short and precious for anyone to just want to throw it away. Unless of course you owed me money and then you might as well kill yourself. |

Without a doubt I would save the other person unless they were a slimeball. I have always been a protector, that is why I was in the Army Infantry. The only other circumstance in which I might save myself is if me living was going to immediately save more people, then this one individual.

Families and friend, I might save them. If it's are strangers, I think I might save myself. Even by saving yourself you will need to live knowing you let someone die, so that is not too great.

I think I agree with Aeragon, if it were family and friends it would be a no brainer, I would sacrifice myself since I have no children. However if it were a stranger, the thought would be a struggle and I might end up saving myself, unless it was a child.

I really don't know. I think if the situation just happened, I would probably do whatever needed doing. I am very calm in situations like that. But knowing, in advance, that it absolutely meant that my children would be left fatherless, I'm not sure what I would do. This is exactly why I don't like silly hypothetical situations.

Okay so, after some deliberation I have chosen two winners. Man this was tough and I reached out to some of my MVP friends to get opinions too on which ones they would take.
There was a handful of folks that were mentioned but in the end there can only be 2. And here they are. Everyone of you had great answers. Some comical, some very in depth and thought out. Thank you all for answering and stay tuned for more giveaways. I know we will have Borderlands 2 copies and probably some other 2K titles down the road. Thanks so much to 2K and their support for our community. The winners are: The Dude 419 and Doodzey in the end. Please send me a PM with your mailing address and I will send your copy out to you within the week. |

BTW....Mass Effect 3 T-Shirt giveaway will be posted tomorrow. Random Giveaway.
Also, I am going to keep track of winners from here on out. I'll post more info on this in the near future but basically it will put restrictions on how much you can win within a certain time period. Just so everyone gets a chance to win. Again congrats to our winners. And just so everyone knows, this Friday marks the 7th Birthday for XXLGaming. Keep an eye on the birthdays and you'll see it. |
