mmm...the more I play this game, the more I'm getting fed up with it.
While I enjoy the upgraded blocking, I have to say EA over did it. They
are back to making games slanted towards one side. This game is really
offensive minded. I started a dynasty, and in 7 games, have given up
two 200 yard rushing games to CPU. My rush defense is 117th. I don't know if it is because my team just isn't very good (Western Michigan with a C- defense), or the game is just so slanted towards the offense, it's impossible to keep a lead. All I know is after 3 years, and getting some stronger recruits, things don't change, I'm reducing my playing time of this game to only leagues.

It is your team for sure. It won't get better apparently there is an issue with Dynasty progression in this game. All teams get worse no matter what. So after a few seasons if you have a B team expect them to be in the C's.

Yeah, dont have an issue with Penn State, but not looking forward to the progression thing. I guess it boils down to once again NCAA just can't keep up with Madden in overall appeal.

What level are you on? I play with Washington State, and it's very challenging, I'm only 6-3 on all-american, but I have the 4th best rush def and 18 best def overall....the offense is challenging.

I'm Western Michigan..(don't ask, I like to build a 1 star team and see how good I can make them). I ended up 6-7 in season 1 with an ass whoopin by Navy in a bowl game. Not a bad outcome I guess. What really drove me crazy was how just about every team no matter what offensive style, they ran no huddle. In season 2, the no huddle has been non existent. I don't know if it's because my defense is a little better or what.
Season 2 has been a total turn around for my team. I'm 8-1 and atop the MAC East division with rival Central Michigan up next. Recruiting has been tough, as I've targeted 2 and 3 star players mainly (some 4), and the it's tough recruiting vs the BCS schools (recruiting difficulty set to Varsity). Injuries are abound in this game, as my top 3 RBs were injured, and my 3rd string QB was put in for a play @ RB....LOL. Should finish season 2 by this weekend, so I'm eager to see what the progression is...or isn't. I think broken promises are going to kill me after this season, but I've put in my 2nd string Off/Def about 3 games this season, hopefully that helps. As far as progression goes, I wasn't expecting a big jump after season 1, as I had key starters lost, some of them were the top rated players on my team. I have a young team with with a lot of sophmores and juniors starting. I have only 3 or 4 senior starters on offense, and about 5 defensive senior starters, so hopefully the players will progress well for season 3. I hate this damn game...lol. Every year I say I'm not going to spend so much time in dynasty, and every year I end up doing about 10+ seasons, with 14 seasons in NCAA 10. After I win a national championship with the team I build, I move on to another "project" team. Getting sucked in again.
All American, switched up sliders alot in season 1 to try and find a good mix, but just wasn't working. Play with SLOW speed and with speed threshold @ 15. Run defense = #2 Pass defense = #45 (top CB out for season) ....but that's all relative to the difficulty of my conference, as I have a rather weak conference, 2 or 3 teams only have 1 win. Central Michigan was ranked #23 in week 6 and #21 in wk 7, but were knocked out with a conference upset to Toledo. Offense is challenging at times especially when a wide open receiver drops the ball (but realistic). I'm thinking I need to drop RB abilities and Run Blocking sliders to about 45 or 40 as I've had about 3 or 4 200+ yard rushing games this season. Still trying to get a grasp of loco-motion...maybe I'm expecting to see too much from it. Possibly my team doesn't have enough high skill ratings to utilize it effectively. I had raised CPU RB and Run Blocking sliders in season 1 to about 60 and 65 respectively, and was getting demolished stopping the run. CPU RBs were spinning out of 2 tacklers hands and breaking away for TDs (not realistic with mid major talent, so I dropped them to default for season 2). Keeping QB accuracy @ 45 for both sliders seems to work well. Penalties are a mixed bag too. I upped everything except Holding, Face Mask and Clipping to find a good mix, but still seeing those 3 as the primary penalties even @ default 50 setting. try changing your gameplan usually with an aggressive d line more sack and tackles for loss resulting in less rush yards

yes, I always use that and sometimes aggressive zone coverage. Only thing is, there's no negative impact for using aggressive D-line. I've not gotten one offsides called on me for using it, so it's almost like a glitch in the game. I see more often than not, that if a QB hard counts, his linemen false start pretty much all the time.
