Well Madden 11 is a little less than 3 weeks away so it is time to start getting the ball rolling on our leagues.
 
4th & Long is an online franchise that runs year round, with a maximum of 16 user teams.
 
We will be starting with season 6 on Madden 11 after 5 very sucessful seasons in Madden 10.
 
The rules and settings will remain the same which can be found here:
 
 
There are a few things that will change however first which I am very excited about, we will be doing a fantasy draft.
 
Second  due to the fantasy draft there will be no CPU trades for at least the first season if not beyond.
 
Third I don't think this will be an issue but we will have 2 User teams in each division along with 2 CPU teams.  We can work out who is going where once we finalize the 16 participants.
 
Like promised anyone in good standing at the end of season 4 is welcome back to claim their spot in the Franchise, they are:
  1. The Dude 419
  2. Playmkr
  3. Phantom818
  4. CrazyCougar
  5. xFactor STL
  6. True Gamer
  7. King Berishaj
  8. CrackinBacks
  9. Paddlefoot
  10. Hans12
  11. Surfape

Could anyone on this list please confirm to me that you do want to play, or do not want to play, so I know how many spots I need to fill.

For those of you who want in as you can see spots are limited please post or PM me if you would like to play, or be added to the wait list. 
 
This is not necessarily first come first serve, as spots are very limited, we will determine who we feel will add the most to the franchise.

i will say that i am not totaly sold on the fantasy draft cause i like the fact of building an existing team. But fantasy could be fun.

What happened to the 40% chance all of you were getting Madden?? LOL
I'm going to have to stick with my guns, and skip this year's version, very discouraged with lack of online franchise improvements. Last season was alot of fun, and I'm sure this year will be great with the owners that are signing up, so good luck to everyone. Kudos on a job well done by the Dude as commish.

The Dude 419 put extensive peer pressure on me, so I gave in and will be getting.
 
Fantasy draft will help offset the loss of options in franchise mode by EA.

I'm definitely interested.  I'll let you know soon TD on my plans of getting the game.  Probably see what date you're planning on doing the fantasy draft and starting all of it.  I'm certainly interested in the fantasy draft experience myself...should be quite different. 

Hopefully some of you check out the online team play feature...I was hoping to try that out with a few people.  Another reason (in addition to this franchise) I might get a game that I might not have gotten originally.
