The sun is starting to set earlier and earlier each day. The talk of football is in the air with just a few weeks until the NFL Preseason begins. E3 is behind us and everyone is now looking forward to PAX Prime in Seattle. What does this all mean? It means we are about to embark on another Fall/Holiday season in the videogame industry. Typically, it’s the time of the year when the major blockbuster titles are released to the masses and competition to outsell the other top games is at an all-time high. It’s tough to just limit a list to 10 titles but here are the titles that we are looking forward to the most and think you should probably check out or at least put them on your radar.

1. Borderlands 2 – 2K Games – Hands down, this title has been the buzz of the office since it was announced and then prior to its announcement it’s all we wanted. Yes, we are Borderlands junkies!
2. Transformers: Fall of Cybertron – Activision – High Moon Studios knows how to put together a great Transformers game which is evident by Rise of Cybertron. We cannot wait to get our hands on the latest installment.
3. Assassin’s Creed 3 – Ubisoft – The actually trilogy finally wraps up and we find out what Desmond’s fate is but we are more excited just to be playing in the American Revolution time period as Connor.
4. Halo 4 – Microsoft Studios – Master Chief is back. What more is there to say really? We really look forward where 343’s direction on the franchise is going to take us in this title and the other to come.
5. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 – Activision – Yes, another Call of Duty title. But, this one may actually change up the way you look at Call of Duty. At least we hope so. The storyline is taking pretty good shape thus far.
6. NHL 13 – EA Sports – Hey a sports game is in the top 10! You bet it is. Whether you are a hockey fan or not, you need to check out the NHL series from EA. NHL 13 looks to completely change the way you play the game. Early indications show this title as a must have for sports fans.
7. Skylanders Giants – Activision – Really? Yes, really. What is a huge cash cow for Activision is actually a great franchise as well. Fun for any age and we look forward to the introduction of the new Giants. And of course plenty of new figurines to collect!
8. Medal of Honor Warfighter – EA Games – Medal of Honor intrigues us a lot. It really looks to be innovative in many multiplayer aspects of first person shooters and we actually enjoyed the storyline of the last Medal of Honor.
9. Need For Speed Most Wanted – EA Games – The Criterion guys put their own spin on a revamp of Most Wanted and we really like what we see. We love driving games and this one looks to be right up our alley.
10. Dishonored – Bethesda – This one is really looking fantastic. Visually and conceptually this game really perks up the interest of our team. We just hope it does not turn into another Rage. But we are sure Bethesda won’t let that one happen again.
Now our list probably won’t be the most popular with some and our order may seem to be off a little to fans of certain games. We are looking forward to plenty of titles this fall but these are the ones that stood out the most and honestly in the order listed is pretty much our true feelings. It’s a mixed bag of genre’s from platformer to first person shooter. We’d love to hear in the comments below what you think of the list or perhaps which titles are you looking most forward to.
A few other notable title that may be of interest: LEGO Lord of the Rings, Forza Horizon, Hitman Absolution, Madden 13, Sleeping Dogs, F1 2012, Darksiders 2, Disney Epic Mickey 2 |
